School Discipline
Did you know? In Washington, D.C., Black girls are 9.1 times more likely to receive at least one out-of-school suspension compared to other girls.
Here’s what we’re doing today:
On February 2, the DC City Council Committee on Education will hold a Public Roundtable on the state of school discipline in the 2015-2016 year at 1pm in Room 412.
Those who wish to testify may sign-up online at bit.do/educationhearings or call the Committee on Education at (202) 724-8061 by 5:00pm Tuesday, January 31. Persons wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 10 copies of written testimony.
