Early Care & Education
For more than 15 years, The Women's Foundation has been a driving force behind advancing early care and education through advocacy and participation and coalition spaces throughout the Washington region.

To advance Early Care and Education we house the Early Care and Education Funder’s Collaborative (ECEFC), connecting funders and facilitating learning, action, and philanthropy.

The ECEFC funds advocacy and grassroots organizations to increase the quality and capacity of and access to early care and education in the Washington, D.C. region.

We are grateful for organizations and individuals that invest in a shared vision to build a strong Early Care and Education system.

QUALITY

We enhance early care and education for low-income children, ages 0-5.

ACCESS

We broaden affordable early care and education options.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We promote growth opportunities for early care and education professionals.

PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

We strengthen collaboration among stakeholders to drive positive change in the early care and education system.

We support programs that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Funded through our grants, these organizations bring innovation, leadership, and positive change to early care and education.
